TRACEABILITY SYSTEM

Reading the QR code with a smartphone allows consumers to view the exact certificate information.
This includes traceability information required by law, as well as Wagyu production location in Japan, breed name, date of slaughter and beef quality ranking.
Also, the information details whether or not the pedigree in concern is registered based on unified standards established by the chief Japanese Wagyu certification organization.

In addition, individual exporters may also add unique online information, including characteristics of the Japanese Wagyu breed in question, culinary ideas and recipes, and explanations of the appeal of Japanese Wagyu by top chefs. This information is also available in multiple languages.
The information made available through QR code is a tool for consumers who purchase Wagyu to learn more and distinguish their authentic Japanese Wagyu purchase from Wagyu produced in other countries.
